Givenchy’s bizarre three-toed sock and sandal design is reminding social media users of the cartoon character Scooby Doo’s paw.

The footwear is part of designer Matthew Williams’ debut collection at Paris Fashion Week. Williams, the new creative director of the brand, showed off the lineup from his Spring/Summer 2021 collection, which includes the ‘Tryp-toe’ shoe.

The heels feature thin loops that separate the toes into three parts. They are paired with tanks and trousers, but because the models rocked them with brown tights, they looked just like Scooby Doo’s paws.

Social media users were quick to notice the unconventional sock-sandal opinion and flood Twitter with their opinion. @hannahtindle shared an image from the collection with the caption, “My friend just said that the Givenchy SS21 three-toed sandals and socks look like Scooby Doo’s feet and I have officially lost it.”

Several other users agreed with the observation and responded with memes and jokes.

The rest of Williams’ pieces in the collection also gave off Scooby vibes. “There was a lot of orange in the Scooby-Doo characters like Velma’s outfit and Daphne’s orange hair,” Williamsburg artist Nolan said.
