4. Playa Norte Isla Mujeres

5. Akumal Beach
Just south of Cancun, the beach in Akumal is a great place for Cancun snorkeling and scuba diving. The town’s name means, “place of the turtles” making a sea turtle sighting likely.
Turtle nesting season is between April and October. These are protected areas. When the turtles hatch, they make their way to the ocean.
6. Playa Maroma
This is lovely with endless white sands and sparkling blue waters. In Cancun snorkeling, jet skis and other water sports are very popular here. Also, there are plenty of beach clubs where you can spend your day.
7. Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve
This is a beach that is located within a UNESCO World Heritage site. During your visit, you can see over 23 archaeological sites and ancient Mayan ruins. When you’re ready, head to the pristine beach.
This is a beautiful beach with a mix of flora and fauna in the heart of the city. This makes it a very unique experience. Be sure to bring a picnic as there are no restaurants or beach clubs in the reserve.
